The Japanese automaker’s top-selling midsize SUV, the Mazda CX-5, has now been updated for the 2021 range of superpowered vehicles. While waiting for the new redesign in 2022, a mid-cycle model has recently been added, namely the 2021.5 Mazda CX-5: while still preserving the qualities that made it so famous, the CX-5 does now offer an enhanced infotainment experience.

For starters, the 8-inch screen now yields to a new, larger 10.25-inch interface. Not only does it have a larger screen, but it is more instinctive to operate due to a rotating wheel with easy-to-reach buttons, replacing the touch screen. It has a modern, sleek understated look and is mounted atop the dashboard.
Of course, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility remain the same quality, as do standard driver assistance technologies.
Some new connected services were also introduced this fall on the 2021.5 CX-5 and CX-9 SUVs. In particular, the MyMazda app updates you with service notifications and warnings, as well as routine vehicle health checks. The highly valued controls such as remote start, door lock/unlock and vehicle tracking are also included!
While the Kuro model’s interior colour was traditionally Garnet Red, Mazda now offers black interior trim with red stitching.
From a technical and visual standpoint, the Mazda CX-5 is still very much the same incredible machine: the Kodo design, with its aerodynamic appearance and the exceptional road handling SUV characteristics, also remain unchanged from previous models, much to the delight of drivers.
